Nutramigen Infant
They put my 2 month old infant to nutramigen secondary to milk allergy.?
We've been doing hemoccult test to check if theres still blood in his stool and always turned out positive. Its been 3 weeks now and the test is always positive. His pediatrician told us to stick with the nutramigen and observe him and the stool. Is there anybody out there that experienced our situation right now? And also what did you do or did your pediatrician do to resolve the problem? Please reply I am very worried
My daughter was on Alimentum (the Similac version) from 6 weeks to 10 months. We went through the same types of things, but the Similac took about a month or so for the blood not to be present in her stool.
I totally understand how frustrating it can be!! Just keep going with the Nutramigen and keep following up w/ your doctor. In a few weeks if you still aren't seeing any results, I would demand to see another doctor or specialist, especially if there appear to be any other symptoms.
