Potty Toilet
I have a 3 year old and he refuses to go potty in the toilet?
He's actually 3 and 5 months, anyways he knows what the toilet is and what it's used for, he just refuses to use it.Anybody have any suggestions?He has 6 diapers left and I was thinking that I'm not going to buy anymore and see what happens.It takes me 35 minutes to drive to the closest town that sells diapers.I know I'm in for alot of crying when he runs out.Do you think this is a good way to try to get him out of diapers?Please help me.Thanks.
My son loves Spongebob, so we bought him some Spongebob underwear, he also has plain white ones.I 've put them on him(both kinds) and he screams and crys and takes them off and goes and gets me a diaper to put on him.
Don't stress him. My son took forever to potty train. He was closer to 4 1/2 before he was believe it or not. We tried everything (and I have successfully potty trained a child in the past). Boys can be harder. And if you add in a little stubborness it makes it a bigger battle. Buy some pullups and some big boy underwear. Tell him he can wear a diaper/pullup at bedtime and naptime, but during the day he needs to wear his big boy pants and use the potty. Take him to the potty ever 15-20 minutes and ask him if he has to go. Buy him his very favorite candy and tell him each time he uses the potty he can have a piece or candy/sticker (whatever floats his boat). Tell him if he uses the potty all week long then you will take him to do something special.
Good luck, I know it is hard and stressful, but he will learn!
